House Rules by Jodi Picoult
2.0

I read this for a class two years ago and just got around to finishing the last 100 pages. I think that this book is pretty dated as a product of the 2000s and how contemporary media handled disabilities; the ASD representation is clumsy at best and problematic at worst. It seems that Picoult did a lot of research and meant well with this book? I feel like she was trying to recreate the moral questions and conversations that came with My Sister’s Keeper. But it did not land for me.
