Say You'll Remember Me
by Katie McGarry
say you’ll remember me
as most books I read this book was amazing too it was beautiful. Maybe I have a thing with beautiful books but truly this book was beautiful. it showed the importance of family and that family doesn’t have to be related by blood at all.
it talked about a boy who went into juvie for a crime he didn’t do and thought his best friend did but he was ready to take the fall for his best friend because he truly loved his best friend as family and knew that he couldn’t handle it . And during that time the government offered him a deal or a spot in a program that would help those children who’s in juvie but he has to pled guilty and he did and did the program and it’s the thing that turned his life around and made him a better person.
And then he met a girl and that girl was the one to give him hope and happiness and not let the fear consume him and she gave him the courage to continue his life and pick up music and drums and go to college. But their relationship wasn’t easy and was not approved. But they made it through and showed how powerful true love is and the author described that love so amazingly that you can’t help but want to feel a love like that and those deep emotions.
And this book showed how someone can control your life and you let them because you either love them and can’t think that they’d do something like that or that you don’t want to feel lonely so you let that person do what they please.
What kept each person going through this book is each other. every single one of them had such a bad life full of poverty and abuse and drugs and bad parents but they kept going because they had each other. they could lean on each other when they needed it, although they weren’t blood related but they considered themselves as family and they were
