This book hit home. A multigenerational latina story?
How could it not. Acevedo does it again. You know how sometimes an author writes a story and it slaps and your drawn in? And then sometimes a poet writes a novel and the language is so stunningly beautiful that you have to sort of allow yourself breaks to process everything? That's what @acevedowrites did here. It took me a minute to get through, but it's because it was so relatable. Highly recommend to everyone, but especially my Latinas with generational trauma lol
