Beautiful prose mixed with brilliant character work. Truly fleshed out, doesn’t overstay its welcome, and provides a lot of worthwhile commentary on dysfunctional family relationships and the possible emotional effects of suicide on others. Many reviewers have been upset that “nothing happens,” and I can’t help but think they missed the entire story.
Graphic: Mental illness
Moderate: Suicide
