I did the tandem read of this and Empire of Storms, which I highly recommend to do, the time lines match up almost perfectly and makes it a much easier read. Also it made my brain go into overdrive trying to make connects to other books lol

I really thought this books was going to be boring because Chaol is probably the blandest character in this whole series, but I was pleasantly surprised it wasnt that boring. The mystery in this book really helped, or maybe it was the tandem read lol. I dont have too many more thoughts about this one, it was just good. Although I will say one thing I kinda hate about SJMs story telling I noticed in this and EoS, she cant seem to allow to single people to work together without getting together, its like no ones allowed to be single. Im definitely nervous to read the last book, but also theres going to be so many POVs.
