Man, the beginning of this is hard to take. For the first 25% I was like "how in hell is it possible that I liked this book before??" ... I was pretty close to a DNF. Jamie is such an unbelievable doormat that really... it just kills me. And Nick is the biggest piece of shit ... his POV chapters are tough to get through.
Then they both start to change, and it gets much better. But man, the opening quarter or so was really tough.
