The Agathas by Liz Lawson, Kathleen Glasgow

5.0

4,5 - This was one of my most anticipated reads of the year, and it did not disappoint!

This is everything I expect from a YA mystery thriller: I loved the two main characters, the mixed media elements definitely elevated my reading experience, I thought the plot was well constructed and there were some red herrings, which made it possible to see the twist coming but which didn't make it too obvious! There are also some more serious subject matters addressed in this book, which I thought were handled well.

I did however feel like my interest fizzled out a little tiny bit in the last 50 pages or so (I think the pace got a bit slow there for me), which is why I rated it a 4.5, but still a really great book! Really looking forward to the sequel!

I think you'll really like this if you enjoyed [b:One of Us Is Lying|58679358|One of Us Is Lying (One of Us is Lying, #1)|Karen M.
