ksantiago1989 's review for:
The Most Beautiful Girl in Cuba
by Chanel Cleeton
I have loved following the journey of this family since it began with Next year in Havana. I will admit that it took me a little bit more time to get into this novel.
At first I did not feel connected to any of the characters. However, that did subtly change as I kept on reading. I love the way that this book also showed how women impacted the world of journalism.
It’s also fascinating to learn a little bit of history through a work of historical fiction. You can really tell the influence that the author’s own personal stories have had in her writing. It is very clear that Cuba means a great deal to her and her family.
If you enjoyed the other novels I urge you to keep going and add this one to your list if you have not already read it.
