Jim Henson's Labyrinth: Coronation #10 by Fiona Staples, Ryan Ferrier, Daniel Bayliss, Dan Jackson, Simon Spurrier

5.0

For the most part the storyline is repeating itself from the movie, but I think that’s kind of the point. History repeats itself and all of that, especially with the Goblin King doing what Goblin Kings do. It must be hereditary or something. Still, I’m loving this addition to the world. The art is amazing and irrespective of the similarities, the story’s great. I like seeing the before of pre-Jareth and the Owl King. Not as sexy, of course, but it brings its own appeal to the table. And with it a different-feeling labyrinth. A darker one that Jareth perhaps lightened up a little considering his own time within it when he was little. Maybe?
