Dark Harvest
by Norman Partridge
Part 1 didn't convince me this would be a good book -- it felt like I was reading a stupid childish tale. However as the novel progressed and readers learn more about the town, characters, and history, the intensity built and the suspense pulled me in. The writing style is unique, as it's jarringly directed to the reader at times, yet often leaves one to decipher the meaning. This is a fun Halloween horror that'll also make you think about gender, authority, injustice, life & death.
