Mary Jane by Jessica Anya Blau is going down as one of my favorite books of 2021. This is a Must Read for Summer! We follow 14 year old Mary Jane pick up a nannying job in the summer of 70s. The father is a psychiatrist, and after a week she has started working for them, he has moved in a famous musician at their home to dedicate all his time to help him remain sober. Mary Jane learns how sheltered she has been in her own home is as she discover the world of fame, sex, and drugs. She begins to discover the type of person she wants to be in the world and what she wants out of life. This was a light but thought provoking read that i loved!
