rachhenderson 's review for:
Your Own Kind of Girl
by Clare Bowditch
Clare Bowditch's memoir is about the trauma experienced in her childhood, her subsequent breakdown at 21 years old, and her continuing fight for her mental health. It's a very open, raw, warts and all story, which would have taken a huge amount of bravery to write. Her writing is very approachable, it's like sitting down for a coffee with a friend. I find myself, a day later, almost missing her!
