Fairy tale and lit salad
I wasn't a big fan of this book. The tales seemed like the author just threw a bunch of fairy tale and literary characters together to make fiction soup. The main character was not that likable or relatable. She is supposed to be great at her job and has a chip on her shoulder. I don't see how that brings her to a suspect's house, who happens to be her ex-boyfriend. She can't resist him and bangs him as soon as she sees him. The heroine then tells him, oh, now that's out of the way, I need you to come to the station and answer some questions. Oh, and of course I'll go out on a date with you tomorrow.
Stellar ethics and investigative skills, I tell you. I can see why they have so much faith in her.
