Before I Say Good-bye by Mary Higgins Clark

2.0

I had a feeling I’d read this previously, and when I started reading, it really did seem very familiar. However, I couldn’t remember enough to recall who the culprit was (and perhaps I put the book aside without finishing previously), so I kept reading! I used to love Mary Higgins Clark, but as I was reading this one, I did feel like it was a bit…ordinary. Certain things bugged me about the book, and it seemed to take me longer than I would have expected, considering its length - possibly because I wasn’t very interested.

This book is over 15 years old, and I know Mary Higgins Clark is still writing, so it makes me wonder how I’d feel about her more recent works. I may give one of them a try, but not for a while yet. 2.5★
