The Enemy at the Gate: Habsburgs, Ottomans and the Battle for Europe by Andrew Wheatcroft

3.0

I had a difficult time connecting with this book. This is such a fascinating subject matter and period in history; recognizing this, I think the author got too bogged down by minutiae to make this a clear read. I’m glad to have read this but it certainly did not live up to my hopes.
