I received an eARC from the publisher. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

As always Abby Jimenez knows how to write romance! I love her books and the fact that they’re set in Minnesota! This book is full of Minnesota sites and inside jokes (annoying billboards of a specific man that haunt you everywhere you go? Oh I see you…).

After Justin posts an “Am I the Asshole” (AITA) Reddit post and it goes viral, Emma and him immediately hit it off. The two share a similar curse— their exes next relationship is their soulmate. The two begin to talk and Justin proposes the idea that they date to break the curse— theoretically whoever they date next would be their soulmate. It’s mutually beneficial. The only problem? Justin is in Minnesota.

Emma is a traveling nurse with her best friend and near-sister, Maddy. The two sign a three month contract somewhere and immediately move on to the next place. Emma talks Maddy into going to Minnesota for the summer instead of Hawaii as they planned.

If you’re an Abby fan get ready for all the Easter eggs back to her other books!

As the two get to know each other they realize they have never felt this way for anyone else before. Unfortunately, Justin is about to take over custody of his kid siblings and Emma struggles with putting down roots.

I struggled with Emma’s character for the first 25% of the book, but as I got further and things were explained she began to grow on me! I loved the friendship she had with Maddy that was centered throughout  the book. I wish we got more of Justin and his friends though!
