3.5 stars! Super slooooow burn. The male MC’s control issues became taxing, but his growth arc was still good. Closed door romance, and very sweet. I’ve enjoyed this series, but the first book is still my favorite of them. This feels like it could be a standalone, but the characters in the previous books appear frequently, so having read the past installments helps.
