Lean Mean Thirteen
by Janet Evanovich
After 12 previous Plum stories, 13 felt like treading water. It's all the same tensions, same setups, same resolutions we've come to expect. A car is trashed, something explodes, Grandma is hilarious, and mom's hitting her hidden liquor stash every time Stephanie comes to visit. In a way, it's comforting and makes for a very quick, easy read, but it'd be nice to have a *little* more going on here.
