The writing was good— but sort of fizzled at the end. Same trope as the Unwanted Wife but different enough that it didn’t bother me. It opens with the characters already married for over a year. H Beckett is mad because he thinks h got pregnant on purpose. They were forced to marry by their fathers ultimately for business purposes. Fmc miscarries but h they stay together and he treats her like crap. As the book opens she’s had enough and files for divorce. H realizes he effed up and grovels through the whole book to hea.
