Sense and Sensibility
by Jane Austen
some of the worst villains i’ve read. and to think ! mrs jennings criminally evaluated by marianne, willoughby criminally forgiven by both girls, willoughby a criminal!! worst of all, however, are their spouses. dull dull dull beyond measure. self-deprecating boringness the worst crime of all in a novel. i will say i found the frank treatment of marriage as an economic proposition and necessity so fascinating and dealt with in such a human way. oh god! the ferrars all of them and john dashwood too! evil!!!!!!!!! no persuasion nor emma that’s for sure :/ still delightful and entertaining !
