What a wild ride - I love this book and I hate this book and that makes me love it more.
The writing style is incredible, I want to read more books that are written in this way.
I don’t usually enjoy books where the characters are not particularly likeable but this one got its hooks in me and I couldn’t put it down.
When Marx died i genuinely nearly didn’t finish the book, I was so baited by the chapter before that he was going to be okay. He to me was really the only character I actually liked and really balanced out Sadie and Sam.
I think I would have loved to see more of Sadie’s reflections on the past and how she overcame them and grew as a person but equally I did enjoy the overall way the author intentionally left gaps and trusted the reader to still understand what was happening.
It is a very human book that I would recommend to most people 🙂↕️
