Dangerous Alliance: An Austentacious Romance by Jennieke Cohen

4.0

Dangerous Alliance: An Austentacious Romance definitely gave me all the Jane Austen vibes I wanted. It definitely makes me excited to jump into Jennieke's other book, My Fine Fellow. In this, you will meet Vicky. Now Vicky and I have something in common, we both love Elizabeth Bennet.

So, it's pretty safe to assume that I really liked getting to know Vicky. I also ended up liking Tom as well. Between him or Mr. Carmichael, yes, I rooted for Tom all the way. Mostly because they definitely had their cute moments and some serious chemistry. It was hard to look away from that and not ship them.

Other than the romance, we do get a fun mystery to solve. Or at least you can try to solve. I personally didn't want to figure it out before the big reveals came my way. Mostly because it was just fun to see what was going to happen next. I do, however, feel like we could have had a bit more drama to spice things up. A little weird to say but it didn't seem like we got that much to begin with.

Other than that, definitely enjoyed this book and I'm so happy that I found the time to listen to it. The narrator did an amazing job in my eyes, and I secretly hope it's the same narrator for the next book. If not, I'll live. I guess.
