This was perfect to read after Legends & Lattes. I can absolutely see myself reading both books again and again especially after finishing a long series or for getting out of a reading slump. 
I love the complex relationships and how Viv handles them in a very real and humane (lol) way. 
The book also handles stereotypes very well and shows the nuances of interactions between different species.
