Gosh where to start. I feel like this book was conflict after conflict without any resolution. By the 70% mark I started to skim.

The plot and story feels underdeveloped and the motivation for the characters to be together not really explained. Like it never stopped feeling like James/Hook was using Wendy. The characters lack communication and they seem to hold unimportant things as the most important things. Mostly in the 50% mark where the big conflict started to arise, it doesn't feel developed. A lot of things go brushed off that should've been explored to make a larger impact. The smut scenes were anti-climatic to be honest and the writing did leave me a bit lost in certain scenes. It feels like you're being told scene after scene without any actual explanation. This book would've benefited from being single POV because the things that were supposed to be impactful felt silly knowing the other character's point of view. The relationships did not feel real rather it was romantic or friendly. Wendy is just naive and James is childish. This book was just meh.
