This book was described by a goodreads user as “Extremely Precocious and Incredibly Irritating.” This could not be any truer. I hated the way the story was told. As a reader, my interest was not peaked, nor did I care for any of the characters. I found the sub-story about the grandparents far more interesting than Oskar’s trials and tribulations with his key. This book was more of an emotional journey which did not appeal to me as a reader.
