Competing Against Luck by Clayton M. Christensen

4.0

Competing Against Luck reads like a typical management, PM book. The theory itself, called the "Jobs to be Done" theory is unique and practical, and has lots to promise. It stretches thinking about products beyond features, use-cases and benefits.

The theory itself is very enticing. Think about why your customers are hiring your product? What job are they looking to hire it to do? How successful will your product will be at finishing that job?

The book however is longer than it needs to be. It has too many filler examples often written too verbosely, and feel repetitive. If you can get over that, you'll enjoy this book and learn something new.
