This book felt like a direct copy of the hunger games, red queen, and the selection series. There were so many similarities that it sort of felt like a rip off. That being said, I do like those books so this book was definitely one that made me finish it. The magic was not explained, and left the plot with a lot of holes. The writing was not very good, and pretty predictable. The banter is fun to read, but the main characters did not stand out to me in any way. Was a good quick read, but would not read again.
