I've really enjoyed this series so far and Happy for You is a great addition with a wonderful family to get to know and a possible relationship to fall into.
Mort left his best friend and closest thing to family he had at the worst possible time but he did it for a reason. The person most affected was Felix. He's been in love with Mort for years even though he was his brother's best friend. There's a lot going on behind the scenes with Felix's family. He basically runs the house, looks after his sisters and drives them to all their activities and holds a full time job.
With Mort back in their lives and driving them wherever needed as Felix lost his licence, he has to decide how to act around the man and sort through his feelings of betrayal, love, anger etc.
There's a lot going on for both men with hard home lives and a lot going on with the Rochester family. My heart goes out to both men at the heartbreak they have both experienced but each man takes the steps to try and repair the friendship that they had. Mort also has to work on Felix's self esteem and ensuring he knows his true feelings towards his best friend, and towards Felix. I absolutely adore Felix's sisters, they are fun to have around, especially the twins, and the 16 year old act far older as she gives a lot of support to Felix through the whole book. I'm ambivalent towards his mother as her actions have a big impact on how our characters came into their current situation and there's not a lot of interaction between her and the family.
Loved reading this and the series. Definitely a recommended read.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.
