Mort by Terry Pratchett

4.0

I finally took the dive into Terry Pratchett's Discworld universe and I feel like "Mort" was the perfect introduction for me.

Death, yes.. DEATH is looking for an apprentice and thankfully the gangly boy who is "all knees" is looking to be an apprentice. What happens after they meet is a fun, interesting and hilarious series of hijinks. I've only read one Discworld novel so far, but I feel like "Mort" really encompasses the satirical feel of Pratchett's writing.

I was surprised to find that Death's character was full of depth and complexity. I hope to see more of Pratchett's "Death" in other Discworld books.

World building is good, humor is top notch, and the story is entertaining and heart warming. I will read more Discworld novels!
