The Complete Poetry of Edgar Allan Poe by Edgar Allan Poe

5.0

Re-Read in 2020 for the Booktube Re-Readathon prompt for a book published or set before you were born. Although my edition was published more recently, the works themselves definitely qualify.

I found I wasn't actually retaining the poems as much on this read, although my faves that I noted back in 2016 definitely stood out yet again. I wonder if they are just the ones to speak to me, or if there is more to enjoy. I would definitely like to work on my poetry comprehension and understanding overall, as I can feel I'm not always getting the rhythm of things. That said, there still were lots to enjoy and I'm really glad I picked this one as the readathon pick.
