Baby Yours
by Kennedy Fox
I am so happy to finally have Hunter’s HEA! After two books where I’ve read about his unrequited love for Lennon, they are finally in a place where they can move forward. The book starts with the visit to Lennon’s parents, where they fake being married to win the parent’s acceptance to Lennon’s pregnancy. Apart from the guilt over the deceit, the visit comes out with flying colors. Then they get into their new routine with a pregnancy, hormones and restrained arousal on both parts.
Hunter stays true to his feelings; he loves Lennon and wants to have a future with her, but he’s being understanding and giving her space. Lennon is dealing with guilt, missing Brandon, sadness over a pregnancy and a baby that Brandon is not present for, and growing feelings for Hunter.
Apart from all their daily dilemma, an ex-girlfriend of Hunter’s, Jenna, is being a pest, insisting that Hunter is the father of her baby. This added so e necessary conflict to the story to add spice.
This book dealt mostly with the feelings that are growing between Lennon and Hunter and how they are overcoming the sadness and guilt over hooking up after Brandon’s death. We get more visits from the parents, frequent interaction with Lennon’s sisters and Hunter’s other two best friends. The reading lagged somewhat during the middle of the book, then picked up speed and got interesting later on. I loved reading about their daily life and how they dealt with pregnancy and Lennon’s conflicted feelings. I was all the time rooting for Hunter, hoping for his HEA. I loved him being a dad to Allie. From being a player and moving on to devoted father, he really made a full circle. Can you tell I loved Hunter best? He was relentlessly kind, considerate, and loving. I really have no idea how Lennon held up so long!
We get an HEA, cheesy and sexy and happy. I didn’t expect anything less!!
These’s a little side-plot regarding two of the secondary characters that ends the book in a very interesting and dramatic way, as an introduction to the next duet.
