City of the Lost by Kelley Armstrong

5.0

This book is an incredibly unique take on a police procedural. Set in a town in remote, Northern Canada where people go who need to “disappear” from their lives, with a population of only 200 people, people are suddenly dying at an unreasonable rate. Casey Duncan has a dark past and she ends up in the town of Rockton with her best friend Diana so they can both escape their pasts. Casey is brought in as a detective and she is soon diving into the lives of everyone in this strange little town and putting her own life at risk.

This was another page-turner that I could not put down. And I am so excited to see it is the start of a series. Now I have to get my hands on book number 2 right away!
