The Rain Heron
by Robbie Arnott
A beautiful and terrifying fable about the destruction wrought by humanity, both ecological and homicidal, and our inability to control nature and ourselves.
I was totally gripped from the beginning until the end of part two, then things slowed down to the point that I wondered where it could possibly be road-tripping to, then wham came the turnaround and the connection I’d failed to suss out and the point showed itself.
Are we redeemable?
