When starting this book I did not know if I would enjoy it. We follow one mind into 8 different host on 8 different days. Creative enough idea, but with a rocky introduction. The whole goal is to solve the murder of Evelyn Hardcastle.
This turns into such a topsy turvy situation that you end up suspecting everyone before you suspect the right people. Which even then it gives you such whiplash because it is so twisted and mind boggling that it came to the outcome.
The 8 host didn't all necessarily tell you who to look at, but some opened the lore of the Hardcastle estate. Once you see things from multiple eyes mysteries unravel, and you realize you're at fault.
The fun in trying to find out what is what, while being brought into a whirlwind from all the characters is pure chaotic genius. Highly enjoyable after you get over the initial shock of losing a linear story for a complex and deeply fascinating one.
