And this is how you skip the second book slump. HOLY CROW, ARE YOU KIDDING ME. I finished this book approximately 3 minutes ago and I can't form a functional sentence.
Okay, attempting to breath at a normal pace and lower my heart rate back to where it should be.
If it's possible, I have fallen in love with Driggs and Lex and all the wonderful little Junior Grims that Damico has thought up.
I love that the characters are still their sassy selves and they haven't fallen flat from the first book. They're just as great as they were before, which is something a lot of authors struggle to uphold in the second book.
The plot didn't lose any momentum. It was still action packed and made me giddy and nervous and want to throw it across the room. So yay!
I'm so glad I bought the third book at the same time I bought the second. Off to go enjoy the final chapter of Croak now. Wish me luck.
