I love vampire stories, and this one was quite promising, but so hard to get into. It was a weird mix of modern day/real world and fantasy world building that had me feeling very unclear on what the “rules” of the world were. Even though we end up finding out what happened to anime in the last couple of chapters, it felt very unresolved, even for part of a series.
