Glow Kids: How Screen Addiction Is Hijacking Our Kids -- And How to Break the Trance by Nicholas Kardaras

3.0

I didn’t like this book as much as the others I have read on the subject but the subject continues to be one that I am passionate about. I just wish my kids’ friends felt the same. Or that we could find other families who value creative play, outside time, and other wholesome activities instead of staring vacantly at a screen. I am excited though about the changes I am seeing in myself and my kids as we lessen our tech time and increase time outside. My boys aren’t even missing it and sometimes don’t even bother with the two hours weekly allotted to them for screens. They are finding better things to do, are happier, and are getting along with each other better than they ever have. It might not make a difference in every family to cut back but it’s sure worth a try!
