Big fan of this book. I listened to the audio of it at least a good year or so ago and then forgot about it for a while. I then needed something recently to help reinvigorate reading again and decided it was time for a relisten. I'm so glad I decided to - I really love Jess as a character and as a narrator. She felt really down to earth and presented a very realistic situation as a single parent with financial concerns. I think she's a stand out MFC for me really. River, equally, I'm a biiiiiig fan of. He seems a cold and stand offish at first but changes so wonderfully that you can't not fall for him, just like Jess. I loved all the science, math and just general romance in this lovely book.
