This is a very sweet story. Jillian is a widow with a young son. She owns a flower shop. Elliot is a man who uses her florist often to send flowers to women thanking them for the evening. Jillian believes he’s a player, but she has no idea his father is setting him up on these dates that he really doesn’t want to go on but he feels bad so he sends the women flowers. When they finally meet Elliot is immediately smitten but he sticks his foot in his mouth and regrets his actions. He apologizes in the nicest way and a friendship of sorts is developed. Jillian unfortunately lost her husband in a tragic way and that deeply affected her son. Although some parts of her are ready and willing to move on, she can’t. Elliot is one of those amazing men who knew the woman was worth it. He pursued her and waited, he was patient yet persistent and he loved and included her son, he even enjoyed her crazy pet. For those looking for a romance where the people slowly yet passionately fall in love than this is the book for you. There is minor drama but the story is very beautifully told. I especially loved all the side characters Elliot’s sisters and Jillian’s best friend.
