The Fates Divide by Veronica Roth
3.0

It was not as good as the first in my opinion. It was a bit slow in the beginning but greatly improved later on. I would only recommend this book to people I know likes space fantasy. It's very similar to star wars with the current which flows through the solar system and give gifts to all the people in the current stream some if the gifts are like a curse and not everyonehas the abilityto control their gift. A bit like the force except people have different abilities. For example cyra can cause pain to others just by touching them and Akos can stop the current so that people with current gift can't hurt him unless he puts his guard down which he has to concentrate on doing. I felt the death of lazmet was a bit boring I was expecting a good fight bit felt a bit let down. Isae was hardly mentioned at all and I felt that her and her relationship with Cici was just there to give the reader a lesbian relationship and I could not really see Cici with Isae as they are soo different and I feel that they would not make the long run. I also think that the relationship was rushed and looked over by the author. I think if you going to go for a gay relationship you really need to make sure that the reader can see their relationship developing over time. At fisrt I was quite confused as it has 4 different character perspectives which can get a bit confusing where as in the first book it only had 2 perspectives Akos and Cyra which worked a lot better and the story flowed smoothly where as in the fates divided it felt slightly rough especially when you getting into an interesting part and changes the perspectivesl which is annoying and feel like it's just there to make the book longer. I wished it was like the fisrt book where there was only 2 perspectives and not 4 to keep up with. Other than that the book was good.
