I have mixed feelings about this book. I found that I would repeatedly get interested in the story and then it would suddenly fall flat, and I would struggle to regain my interest.
The protagonist is a selfish, narcissistic woman who chews up and spits out all those around her in her delusory quest for fame and fortune. Memorable and disturbing.
