Doesn’t hit the same highs as Annihilation, but still provides an interesting enough mystery. It drags a bit in the middle and all the pivotal moments feel quite unconnected from the main character and their decisions, but there’s still something about Vandermeer’s writing and intrigue that pulled me through. Not as strong but still fun enough to not DNF.
