This was my first Dickens that I’ve read (besides A Christmas Carol but there are a million adaptations if A Christmas Carol so I don’t really count that) and I LOVED it. The writing was way more accessible than I thought it would be. The story is also SO GOOD. Unfortunately a huge plot point at the end was spoiled for me by Jeopardy - the dangers of watching Jeopardy and reading the classics, am I right? - but it was just a fantastic story. Great characters. I really knew nothing about this story going in - I’ve seen adaptions of Bleak House and Little Dorrit, but never TTC, so I was along for the ride and MAN what a good ride! Highly HIGHLY recommend!
