My favorite thing about this story is that we got it from Eric’s POV. I loved seeing things from his eyes. He was not perfect by any means, even in his thoughts, but that’s probably why he felt so real to me.

I really enjoy a good slow-burn romance and I feel like it was absolutely the best route for this story in order to show Eric’s growth and give him redemption. Had he jumped right into bed with Jean, he probably never would’ve taken the time to get to know her on a personal level. It was important for readers to see that he was indeed changing. I absolutely adored his affection for Ada, it was so sweet and made it impossible to dislike him.

I didn’t enjoy Nell in this story at all. I understand that her and Eric have a history and that she was looking out for her new friend,,but she was over the top cruel to Eric. His brother and other friends weren’t exactly nice either but when they saw him making a real effort to be less selfish they took note and were supportive of him. Nell just really mad me angry for most of this book and she brought my mood down with her.

Overall, this was another great addition to the series and I enjoyed it!
