You'd Be Home Now by Kathleen Glasgow
5.0

I loved this book. The way that Glasgow writes from the perspective of Emmy, not Joey, really brings to light the multifaceted nature of drug addiction. Her story broke my heart, and then stitched it back up again all at the same time. I loved that the book ends with a message of hope: that even when it feels hopeless to try and help those who are struggling with drug addiction, continuing to love them and hope for their recovery is sometimes not only the only thing we can do, but also the best.
