Did not finish book. Stopped at 7%.

The writing felt very stilted and it felt like… when someone is learning a second language and practicing it, a little bit broken. But in the context of the character (in the place where they were born, grew up, and lived) that didn’t make sense. Maybe this was just my vibe from the audiobook, but I was very much not into it.
