Matched by Ally Condie
4.0

I'm giving this book 4 stars, though it's probably a 4.5 or even 4.75 book. The irony of it all was that because of the sheer number of distopian novels I've read, I was able to predict the outcome in "Matched" through the data of previous reading experience. It's ironic if you've read this book, anyway. Cassia defies society and it's big brother precepts for love: that of her grandfather, the boy she wasn't fated to love (or was she) and the love of a poem and the freedom that memorizing that poem brought her. She learns about her parents' love and the way that they keep the people they love safe within the narrow bounds of rebellion that Society allows.
