I couldn't put this down. masterful exploration of the history of lynchings in the US that is appropriately unsettling.

the white characters say the n-word a LOT, including to Black character's faces, and the book is set in the 21st century. fair warning, but also a book about lynching is bound to feature a lot of overt racism.
