I don’t even know how to rate this book. I had big-time nostalgia for the tv show while reading this. I loved the tv series as a child and was thrilled to discover the book series. I started out loving it and while entertaining, the writing left quite a bit to be desired. All of the characters felt over-written and like caricatures of actual people. Though it held my attention and entertained me, I found myself being pulled out of the story during every scene with dialogue - these characters say things that aren’t needed for the story or character development, in ways that real people don’t speak. I didn’t hate it, but I also didn’t love it.
