Let me start by saying, I think I might not be the target audience for this novel. The writing style felt young, but I think it is appropriately categorized as YA. The story was ok- the climax wasn’t as earth shattering as I hoped. But it’s one of those that poses an ending and then the last chapter or so nullifies that and gives you a different ending. I always feel like that’s a bit a fear in the writer- too nervous to fully own a potentially upsetting ending. My favorite parts were seeing snippets of the love story through time, even if a lot of the language was recycled. Overall, it was alright. Not sure I’d recommend it, but I was mostly satisfied.
